Description and Requirements

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst position will conduct software testing and planning and analyzes results to insure they comply with specifications and Information Services (IS) standards. Prepares reports on the same and confers with programmers, business analysts, and upper management. The Senior QA Analyst ensures that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all QA testing activities and adoption to the test the test tools. Healthfirst has made a major investment in test tools and licenses, which with the correct and additional staff, will streamline the way QA tests today and automate our future testing activities. Implementing methodology and guidelines and enforcement of such will ensure Healthfirst applications are given a high level of Quality Assurance in a more efficient method from a time perspective. The candidate should have a heavy background in HP test tools and intermediate knowledge of test automation. A Senior at Healthfirst provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. His/her solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. • Ensure all strategic projects and operational projects meet the highest quality possible by following industry recognized QA methodologies and best practices. The candidate must have experience in structured testing methodology, with a proven ability to breakdown business requirements/functional/non-functional requirements into high and detailed test cases and test scenarios. Experience with Healthcare specifically in Claims, Enrollment, EDI/BizTalk applications a plus. • Develops test plans, test strategies, end to end test plan, test cases/scenarios and QA metric in support of test execution. Performs full functional, integration & regression testing on assigned projects. Experience in conducting walkthroughs of Test Plan and Test Cases with the project team and business. Proficient in providing test estimations. Proficient in gathering/creating test data using complex SQL queries. • Reviews functional specifications/BRD and assists in evaluating test approach profiling of manual test cases for automation test opportunities. Proficient in generating requirement traceability matrix using HPALM( HP Application Lifecycle Management). • Experience working with the HP Quality Center/HP Application Life cycle Management test repository toolset for test management (Test Plan/test Lab), Requirements and Defect tracking modules. Proficient in setup and executing automated tests (HPUFT). Having Experience in training peers or project teams as to how to use HPALM is a plus. • Works with the business owner during user acceptance testing. Conducts proper hand-off and walkthroughs with business. • The candidate must have excellent communication, interpersonal and client interaction skills as they will be required to work closely with business analysts, a diverse group of users, IS Management and application developers, in order to develop test strategies/ test scenarios and to follow QA process consistently for strategic and operational projects. • Assist IS and Business in using and adaptation of QA Methodologies and HPALM. • Assist Technical services during upgrades of automations tools and environments. Supporting computer operations issues or concerns as it pertains to Automation tools and environment. • Participating in gathering data for Healthfirst Audits. • Interface with the DTO (Dedicated Testing Office) as it pertains to test automation reporting. Support Internal QA (Quality Assurance) and DTO UAT teams by providing training/sharing business knowledge where feasible/needed. • Additional duties as assigned - Managed health care experience. - Certification in HP0M36:HP Certified Quality Center ALM.
Hiring Range*: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $87,300 - $126,140 All Other Locations (within approved locations): $78,900 - $117,385 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
