The Senior Manager, College and Early Career Recruiting will build a best-in-class function that will identify, engage, source and hire strong diverse college and early career talent for the enterprise. This role will report to the Director, Talent Acquisition currently responsible for Healthfirst’s summer internship program. The goal is to develop and expand new and existing relationships with local (New York) schools and organizations to ensure diverse early career talent entering the organization is representative of the membership populations we serve. The Senior Manager will partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Hiring Managers to construct a college and early career recruitment strategy that will support internal programmatic efforts to ensure the development and internal mobility of that talent population. Another focal point will be delivering awesome experiences for both our candidates and hiring managers and following-up with each group to ensure expectations are met/exceeded. This role will support enterprise efforts to strengthen and expand diverse talent representation across professional job categories where early career talent is needed and appropriate.
Key Responsibilities: Understand the company’s need for early career talent and the evolving external landscape. Create a strategy that identifies, attracts, and retains talent through traditional and non-traditional channels Develop new, innovative, scalable and effective end-to-end experiences to recruit top talent from local schools, key universities, and other recruiting channels. This includes thinking through the role local high schools, charter schools and tech schools should play in early engagement strategies pre-undergrad, in additional to traditional college internships and new graduates Ensure hiring goals are aligned with critical skill needs and gaps, both for the present and the future. Serve as a TA SME in support of strategic workforce planning and succession planning Lead, inspire and develop the capabilities of recruiters and hiring managers to effectively source, assess, and hire early career talent. Work across internal stakeholders to inform and educate concerning early career hiring trends, effective engagement approaches and hiring for success Build and sustain positive and productive relationships with internal stakeholders, external career services, faculty members, alumni, student organizations, professional associations and diversity groups Partner with corporate marketing and TA project leaders to build stronger visibility of the Healthfirst employment brand within these targeted populations, fully leveraging our recruitment platforms, external partners and social media to raise awareness and promote opportunities Ensure college and early career recruiting efforts are aligned with compliant TA processes and workflows Ensure alignment of college and early career recruitment strategies with enterprise diversity, equality and inclusion goals and initiatives Partner with key stakeholders to ensure our talent prospects enjoy an informative, positive, and mutually beneficial candidate experience while engaged with our organization Lead the reporting of key performance recruiting metrics for this population Qualifications Prior success creating and executing end-to-end recruiting strategies for interns and early career talent in relevant markets Experience partnering with key stakeholders to build effective sourcing, assessment, and selection approaches within the college and early career recruiting space, coupled with an ability to set and manage business expectations through a deep understanding of business needs Experience using leading-edge technology solutions to drive brand awareness and actively engage with and hire from these targeted populations Demonstrative evidence of solid communication and collaboration skills and experiences with both internal and external stakeholders that leads to organizational value creation Demonstrative evidence of driving innovation in this space while utilizing effective influencing skills and capabilities to transform the way teams and organizations think about recruiting and retaining talent in this segment Good time-management skills, critical thinking skills, experience planning / executing recruitment events, and ability to multitask and maintain focus Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects across various client groups 5+ years work experience in college and/or early career recruiting with a focus on diversity BA/BS required. Advanced degree a plus
Hiring Range*: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $117,000 - $179,010 All Other Locations (within approved locations): $100,000 - $153,000 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Healthfirst believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package wherever its employees work and live. *The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in “good faith” would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
