Description and Requirements

The Manager of Medicare and Medicaid Advantage Plus will build, maintain and direct an efficient, well trained and effective sales team within the Medicare space and MAP. The manager will execute sales programs and strategy in accordance with approved policies. This position is responsible for managing sales activities which meet or exceed the enrollment goals for the organization and show Marketing Representatives how to develop viable sites locations. The Manager of Medicare and Medicaid frequently communicates complex information and interacts through electronic documentation/tools.  This is a paperless work environment requiring daily hands|on administration of multiple electronic Patient Health Information (PHI) databases and security requirement tools such as encryption.  These systems include, but are not limited to, Sunguard Macess Service Module (electronic archiving), RightFax, VoIP, Virtual Work Platforms (using VPN), scanning and creating .pdf files (Adobe Acrobat), and MS Office 2010 software (such as Word and Outlook).
| Execute company objectives for Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) and Medicare Plan. | Expert level of understanding of the planning process and the tools and techniques needed for the optimum planning, organizing, and executing of tasks. | Expert level of experience in field sales and marketing in the healthcare industry; consistently identifying sales and marketing growth opportunities for HF. | Explain advanced concepts of field marketing and sales to others; able to mentor and train others in these skills at both a basic and high level. | Expert understanding of MAP industry and practices. | Develop and implement new sales and marketing strategies for the dual integrated product in conjunction with regulatory. | Develop and implement SMART goals and cascade down during monthly and bi|weekly coaching | Understand the importance of delegation in relation to the department’s productivity and resource utilization. | Understand the importance of effective Performance Management (PM) and key components of planning (inc’l giving proper direction/support), monitoring, coaching and evaluation; understands effective performance management will vary based on the situation and individual work styles. | Diagnose and respond to diverse and complex Customer problems by maintaining an expert Customer Service knowledge in best practices, principles and the Company’s policies. | Understand the importance and necessity of maintaining expected levels of integrity and personal ethics at work and demonstrates honesty, fairness, and respect for others. | Communicate complex matters in detail; provide coherent narration with ease, fluency, and accuracy; provide structured arguments to support his/her opinions; interpret and respond to verbal objections and detect verbal and non|verbal cues through active listening. | Possess a demonstrated flexibility and ability to communicate in order to match the needs of the listener/speaker.| Organize and adapt messages for diverse audiences in order to select the most effective medium to communicate messages. | Attend premier networking events (seminars, conferences, and lunches w/in organization and industry), Medicare Events and dinners scheduled by Healthfirst. Develop and foster liaison relationships with community leaders and other potential HF partnerships opportunities for the Sales Division and other Divisions. Communicate potential partnership established with the appropriate business units. | Coach employees on professional networking skills, train employees to leverage internal/external networking opportunities, include them in existing professional networks, teaching them to build professional networks of their own. | Build and maintain relationships with MAP referral community network and other partners. | Recruit, hire and train high performing employees. | Allocate, monitor, and control resources, leveraging the skills of individuals in a manner that contributes to the team/dep’t benefit. - Experiencing supervising/managing staff - Experience of MAP, MLTCP, and/or Medicare - Self - Starter who can work independently in a fast paced and changing environment. - Very strong communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred second language). Very strong writing skills with the ability to implement development action plans in two product lines- Medicare and MAP - Ability to both create strategy for improving MAP and Medicare efficiencies while executing tactically - Strong ability to handle two major product lines, Medicare & MAP, while increasing one's knowledge of a third product line-MLTC.
Hiring Range*: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $98,400 - $142,205 All Other Locations (within approved locations): $84,400 - $125,545 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
