Description and Requirements

The Senior Analyst will be providing analytical support to the Medicare Product Strategy and Management team to develop, assist in execution, and continuously improve upon a market growth strategy that supports a profitable growth across the entire Medicare Advantage portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:    Analyzes the performance of Medicare products as well as identify favorable and unfavorable trends. Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to a project or assignment. Gathers data/information from multiple sources to prepare and distribute time-sensitive and accurate reporting. Participates in product driven workgroups to provide input to product designs/enhancements and implementation plans. Prepares ad-hoc reporting as required.   Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Qualifications: Masters’ Degree 3-5 years analytical/consulting work experience within the healthcare industry, specifically focusing on healthcare claims (i.e. hospitals, network, ancillary, vendors, etc.) Basic understanding of Medicaid and Medicare programs or other healthcare plans Visual analytics experience with Tableau Programming experience with SAS, including expertise in base SAS data set, SQL and macros Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint - charting, infographics Experience with Microsoft Excel - creating pivot tables, formatting, sorting, creating spreadsheets with complex formulas. Must be able to think strategically while managing tactical execution. Experience with analyzing large data sets
Hiring Range*: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $79,300 - $114,580 All Other Locations (within approved locations): $69,800 - $103,870 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
