Description and Requirements

The Director of DSE Strategic Programs is responsible for leading the planning and execution of key strategic projects that span across the entire Delivery System Engagement (DSE) – Provider Engagement team in pursuit of developing and maintaining an accessible quality network that supports the needs of all of Healthfirst’s members. The role is responsible for the identification of key projects, development of project plan and approach, management of key stakeholders, and the overall delivery and execution of each project. The role will necessitate a strong partnership across our finance, provider engagement, hospital engagement, product, and operational teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of an assessment framework that prioritizes the key strategic projects across the Provider Engagement team
  • Identify tactical areas of performance improvement opportunities and execute on developed project plans
  • Act as the liaison within the provider engagement team to coordinate and execute on key strategic projects
  • Partner with the product owners to ensure opportunities and action plan are in alignment with operational objectives ensure successful execution of plan
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to cross functional project teams and stakeholders while demonstrating strong project management skills
  • Measure, document, and report out on the progress of each project across DSE and cross functional teams
  • Work collaboratively across the delivery system engagement team and the operational teams to develop appropriate project plans and execution approaches

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry marketplace  
    • Experience in provider network management, contracting, or network optimization
    • Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop plan of action, communicate effectively, and execute
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff across the organization
    • Exceptional analytic, strategic and planning skills; must be able to successfully facilitate sound business objectives within highly regulated industry
    • Strong public speaking and oral and written communication skills
    • Experience managing large cross-functional and matrixed teams
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively present ideas and build consensus with stakeholders
    • Ability to drive effective change
    • Bachelor’s Degree

      Highly Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, economics, or other related field
      • Experience with Change Management approaches

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $150,800 - $230,690

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $124,400 - $190,315

    As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
