Description and Requirements

The Finance Director will be responsible for analyses that address financial performance of all Healthfirst products, including commercial products, and Senior Health Partners (SHP). This includes trend reporting/analysis, review overall Healthfirst financial performance, review of financial performance within specific risk pools, analytic support for network management, reimbursement analysis, and a variety of adhoc analyses. The director will evaluate results, and make recommendations for improvement to senior management of Healthfirst and senior management of Healthfirst partner hospitals.

Planning, direction and operation of the financial services of the health plan under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Financial Officer. Directing all accounting, financial reporting, and asset control and disbursement functions in addition to coordinating the preparation of all financial statements. Assessing and recommending department/function/organizational unit(s) objectives and interprets company policy. Establishing policies affecting one or more departments/functions/organizational units of the company. Producing ongoing hospital reporting packages for risk hospital. Produce presentations and sometimes present to hospital leadership. Respond to hospital requests for analyses and reporting. Meet with staff from owner hospitals as needed to provide analysis. Producing reporting required to support large IPAs and provider groups. Provide direction to and manage a team of managers and analysts. Produce monthly drilldown analyses on trend drivers, and present findings and suggested approach for altering trends to senior management. Develop and implement strategic analyses relating to reimbursement models for facilities and providers, market opportunities and benefit structure. Facilitate monthly oneonone meetings to be scheduled in advance and on a consistent basis with direct reports to support clear open communication, trust and aligning goals with business strategy and performance expectations. Ability to work with large data sets- Ability to manage projects and project plans within stated timelines-Master’s/PhD OR a Professional degree MBA/MD/JD-

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $150,800 - $230,690

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $124,400 - $190,315

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
