Description and Requirements

You will work alongside other business analysts and report directly to the Director of Finance technology programs. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will be able to discover areas of optimization and improvement within different aspects of Finance technology programs by supporting improvement through adhoc analysis. This position will work within the Finance team to deliver tangible results including building and monitoring report for trends, inefficiencies and outliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Support analytical initiatives across digital initiatives
  • Gather and analyze business and user needs and prepare detailed functional business requirements documentation
  • Analyze complex business problems and determine Finance/IT solution
  • Lead or participate in the solutioning and design of requirements implementation and communicating results to obtaining sign off from stakeholders
  • Organize and participate in in the design of Finance systems with architects, software developers, engineers, business experts, and other stakeholders including interface design and specifications, data modeling, and process flows
  • Serve as liaison between the business and technical teams
  • Works closely with technology, project, and business managers to ensure timely execution of delivery milestones
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with customers to elicit requirements, create business process models, workflows, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring user stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
  • Develop best practices for how to operationalize new workflows with a focus on scale and automation.
  • Collaborate with and support developers during their design and development efforts to provide support for their analysis of the story
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies - Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective, daily standup etc,
  • Support creation of training manuals and user guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), etc.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Business, Accounting, Finance
  • 3+ years experience in an analytical/data driven role with a marketing mindset
  • 3+ years of experience developing process maps
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, team-oriented environment
  • Apply active listening skills through the ability to comprehend information presented and respond thoughtfully
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong business acumen and a deep strategic mindset
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio)

  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting business process
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum projects
  • Experience with documentation management and maintaining the artifacts from the blueprint and design phases for a clear and actionable execution plan

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $67,200 - $97,155

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $59,800 - $88,910

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
