Description and Requirements

Provides leadership and direction to drive BH quality improvement, optimize the delivery system, and ensure ongoing compliance with state and Federal parity regulations.
  • Designs, implements, and evaluates clinical initiatives and programs, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to improve access, clinical quality and medical cost management. Promotes a culture of shared learning and continuous quality improvement
  • Participates actively in strategic planning for BH clinical department including special projects and programs
  • Leads/implements/supports BH clinical quality initiatives to positively impact BH Quality Scores for all lines of business including but not limited to Healthfirst’s Quality Incentive Program
  • Ensures ongoing compliance with Federal and State Mental Health and Addiction Parity Laws
  • Represents Healthfirst at city and state meetings and community and provider forums to educate and build collaborative relationships
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed Healthcare Professional (for example, MD, RN, LMSW, Psychologist, etc.) with Behavioral Health experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred

  • Master's degree in healthcare related field preferred
  • Clinical leadership experience in the Behavioral Health field
  • Program management experience in a Behavioral healthcare setting or managed care  environment
  • Knowledge of NYS Medicaid Program
  • Experience with clinical quality/quality assurance
  • Ability to successfully work in matrix management environment
  • Knowledge of best practices
  • Demonstrated professionalism and leadership skills along with ability to develop, direct, and support a cross functional team
  • Time management, critical/creative thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Adept at planning, organizing, and executing

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $150,800 - $230,690

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $124,400 - $190,315

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
