Description and Requirements

The Digital Designer plays an important role making complex information accessible to internal and external audiences. The Digital Designer is responsible for multi-platform design concepts that maximize traffic and innovative storytelling that help drive results. The Digital Designer creates and supports the development of digital content for marketing, advertising, promotion and communication projects (both internal and external); cultivates knowledge of user experience best practices and implements solutions based on unique user needs. This role is instrumental in ensuring Healthfirst content is delivered flawlessly across multiple touch points. The ideal candidate must possess an innate understanding of how creative design works across multiple digital, virtual and print media environments, as well as a dedication to innovation, and a love for the convergence of design and technology. Candidate will have a proven track record of execution and delivery of solutions that combine strong concepts and usability with an engaging storytelling experience.
Duties & Responsibilities: Develop, design and execute on digital marketing strategies. Design and execute on a wide range of innovative solutions to deliverables: web and internet sites, digital advertising campaigns, social media, multi-media presentations, animations, product positioning, direct marketing, eStrategy concepts, as well as collateral materials, brochures, presentations and events. Produce interactive graphics, videos, and creative presentations of Healthfirst content on our social, digital, and print based assets. Create and develop multimedia (audio / video / gifs) content for customer stories, internal brand videos, and other projects. Work on system design across all digital (advertising, web, internet, mobile, and social). Work with team members to manage the daily workflow of creative projects, including creation of production schedules and status reports to ensure projects meet timelines fit the overall Healthfirst Brand vision. Collaborate with Design team and Marketing teams in developing communication plans and providing design input and delivery across numerous platforms. Contribute to a culture of delivery efficiency and excellence. Work with external creative resources as needed (advertising, designers, multi-media specialists). Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years related experience (graphic/web/digital content design) in digital and print design, digital animation knowledge (for web, social and/or presentation projects), advertising campaigns and e-commerce strategy in an in-house creative or agency setting. Previous digital design experience with a focus on user experience Strong knowledge of UX and UI, including wireframes, prototypes, and mockups. Understanding of the latest design trends and the ability to think about design beyond the screen/print. Understanding of Design Thinking, IA design, UX concepts, usability testing for both intranet development and social / mobile marketing. Impressive portfolio demonstrating effective work across a range of platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or applicable concentration Strong knowledge of information architecture Strong experience with Content Management Systems Knowledge of popular third-party web publishing tools such as Wix, WordPress Knowledge of editing with Adobe Premiere, After Effects and animation, 3D modeling tool. Experience with designing for both digital and print environments and an understanding of the printing process and procedures. Healthcare and/or health insurance creative design experience a plus. Team player who can work independently, as well as with various cross-discipline teams. Understanding of user centered design and development processes across media platforms. Exceptional conceptual thinking. Strong presentation and communication skills. Ideal candidates must have a background in producing materials for social media and online marketing. Proficiency in Adobe CC with an emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as page layout and editorial design experience are required. Knowledge of PDF and postscript technology, HTML, CSS, video/audio editing, and Google Analytics is beneficial.
