Description and Requirements

The Manager of Medicare Product Management is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all Medicare product offerings, including Part D. This individual coordinates cross functionally to develop and implement Medicare products and initiates and develops member/provider marketing/advertising materials.  The Manager will liaison between Product Management and Pharmacy/ Pharmacy Benefit Management on all Part D related matters. A Manager at Healthfirst functions as an advisor to a department, function, or organizational unit regarding duties, responsibilities, projects and/or activities. He/she is actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or resolve problems. His/her primary role is to implement and execute policies and to ensure that departmental priorities, schedules and deliverables are attained.  This level typically has responsibility for budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling and procedural changes. The individual at this level will embody Healthfirst’s Culture Drivers through his/her workplace behavior, while promoting and reinforcing subordinate behavior that is consistent with Healthfirst’s desired culture
| Individual Contributor: The individual at this level is expected to embody Healthfirst Culture Drivers and fulfill his/her role in helping the organization meet its strategic goals. Include as many Culture Drivers and Focus areas as possible in the Duties & Responsibilities section. | Primary lead for the annual Medicare bid/benefit filing cycle, including filing Notices of Intent to Apply (NOIAs) each November, followed by the application filings for new and expansion products in February, the June Bid/Benefit filing and subsequent PBP desk review audits, rebate reallocation filings in August through final contracting with CMS in September. | Responsible for the development, review, approval and fulfillment of all CMS required member materials (i.e. Summary of Benefits (SB), Annual Notice of Changes (ANOC), Evidence of Coverage (EOC), Formulary, etc., and ensures accuracy and timeliness of all materials according to CMS mandated deadlines. | Manages other areas cross|functionally, such as member services, premium billing, enrollment, sales/sales training, medical management, financial analysis, ancillary, IS, etc. to ensure that any/all changes to the Medicare products are communicated timely throughout the organization. | Medicare Products Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for giving consultative advice on Medicare business processes, benefits, and new product filings. Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal business partners and customers. - Comprehensive, advanced writing and editing skills with a tremendous attention to detail and passion for accuracy are a must, as we are required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to attest to both the accuracy and timeliness of key member materials. - Possess strong analytical and research skills to effectively interpret and communicate applicable regulatory requirements. - Ability to quickly adapt and understand large amounts of information, facts, rules and procedures. - Handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changes quickly while meeting all deadlines. - Multi-task and efficiently work in a demanding and fast paced environment. - Demonstrate the ability to focus on the most tedious of details, while also being able to problem solve much larger issues and see the "big picture". - Work under high levels of stress and pressure to meet departmental objectives. - Exercise judgment and discretion of sensitive or confidential matters.
Hiring Range*: Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $98,400 - $142,205 All Other Locations (within approved locations): $84,400 - $125,545 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
