Description and Requirements

The Accounts Receivable Business Analyst will be responsible for State revenue reconciliation and reporting of all revenue products. The incumbent of this position is responsible for analyzing premium revenue, remittance data and aging receivable balance, including the tracking of rate changes across all product lines. The individual must have the ability to analyze and create detailed documentation supporting the reconciliation. Technical skills to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades and new product initiatives are also required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze and create all General Ledger (GL)reports monthly (e.g., Revenue, AFDA; Write offs).

  • Support the AR balance by compiling the details of all DENY/PEND/Unprocessed and Rate Change reports. Support and report AR sub-ledger aging and collections.

  • System knowledge to perform UAT for new product and departmental/company initiatives. The ability to document results and report statuses to different levels of management.   

  • Collect and analyze data to assess and resolve Accounts Receivable variances between supportable sub-ledger and general ledger activity. Supporting write offs and adjustments to be recorded in general ledger.

  • Utilize performance improvement matrix to identify defects and/or improvements to current operational workflow.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical staff, internal non-technical staff, testing teams, and business stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a commitment to organizational values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.

  • Ability to meet department standards of turnaround time and quality.

  • Must be able to create and manipulate data using pivot tables, as well as perform VLOOKUP functions.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently work in an environment of high-level performance.

  • Expertise in utilizing data analysis and query tools such as SAS, Access, SQL, and MS Excel

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive lean implementation. 

  • Excellent organization and time management skills to manage heavy workload and produce accurate information.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical, independent decisions within area of responsibility.

  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of systems and technology.

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,400 - $78,030

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,800 - $74,120

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
