Description and Requirements

The Director of Budget Planning oversees the department responsible for setting the enterprise budget planning and forecasting process as well as leading the annual operating plan. This leader also assists in completion of the monthly close process and the preparation of Finance Committee meeting documents.
  • Lead annual operating plan and quarterly forecast process.
  • Partner with business leaders to meet the operational budget requirements for area of responsibility.
  • Review and monitor staff work providing training, evaluation and direction.
  • Perform review and analysis of membership, headcount, and financial data as part of month-end close process.
  • Communicate monthly HFMS results to Finance leadership.
  • Manage and share monthly variance insights with Healthfirst leaders.
  • Assist in preparing various Finance Committee Meeting presentations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience working in a Finance Department
  • Prior management experience
  • Advanced Hyperion Planning and MS Office knowledge

  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of being a problem solver
  • Ability to build consensus across various constituencies, and achieve results through the effort of others
  • Experience managing support staff

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $150,800 - $230,690

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $124,400 - $190,315

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
